Samsung recently rolled out a significant software update for the Galaxy Watch 6 series, addressing bugs and enhancing compatibility with Samsung TVs. However, a bug affecting the screen sensitivity was introduced with this update. Fortunately, the company promptly started distributing a new update to fix this issue.
Bug on screen saying goodbye
The update to resolve the screen bug on the Galaxy Watch 6 and Watch 6 Classic will be available for South Korean watch owners first. If no major issues are found during the initial rollout, it should be made available in other regions shortly, including Brazil.
The new update, with firmware version “R930XXU1AXC2” and a size of approximately 136.34 MB (size may differ in Classic models), does not contain the April 2024 security patch. Nevertheless, the latest repairs are expected shortly.
To get the update, simply open the “Wearable” app on your phone and go to “Watch Settings > Clock Software Update > Download and install”.
The Galaxy Watch 6 series was launched in 2023 with One UI 5.0 Watch on Wear OS 5. Samsung is anticipated to unveil a new version, 6.0, on Wear OS 6 later this year.
At the Net Workshop, we conducted a thorough assessment of Watch 6, which showcased a durable battery, smooth system performance, and specialized activity tracking features.
