UBS Securities analysts predict that Netflix streaming plans will rise by 2024, according to Variety. Greg Peters, co-CEO of Netflix, shared during the company’s fourth-quarter results teleconference in 2023 that they kept plan prices steady last year and cracked down on password sharing to encourage more subscriptions.
Greg mentions that once Netflix completes the current phase of changes in its user interface, the company will go back to its usual method of implementing price increases. Netflix will monitor different countries to determine when the platform offers sufficient entertainment value to warrant the price being charged.
Netflix plans to use the additional revenue from higher subscription fees to expand its content library for subscribers, but their history of quickly cancelling original productions may not excite users.
I want to point out the new movies added to the Netflix catalog today, as well as three popular titles currently available on the streaming service.
