The preview update for Windows 11 22H2 was scheduled for release last Tuesday (27), but Microsoft has decided to alter its upgrade plans, including changes to the timing of security updates for Windows version 22H2 11.

Microsoft recently updated their support page to inform users that after June 26, 2024, security updates for certain editions of Windows 11 version 22H2 will no longer include unrelated visualization updates.
Microsoft decided to extend the support period for Windows 11 22H2 based on user feedback, allowing PC administrators to access new features for an extended period.
On June 24, 2025, Microsoft will cease providing non-security updates for Windows 11 22H2 in Enterprise, Education, IoT Enterprise, and Enterprise editions, according to the recent support page update. Subsequently, only security patches will be released for these systems.
Windows 11 22H2’s Home and Pro versions will end security updates on October 8, 2024. However, educational and business users will still get security updates until October 14, 2025, aligning with the End of Service for Windows 11 22H2 IoT Enterprise edition.
