Google One VPN will be discontinued this year, as stated in an email sent to customers. The service, which was introduced in October 2020 for Android devices and later made available for iOS and Mac devices in 2022, aimed to provide an extra level of online security and privacy but failed to gain a large user base.
Google One VPN will no longer be available later this year.
Google One VPN was originally included in the Google One Premium 2 TB storage plan for $9.99 monthly or $99.99 annually. Recently, it became accessible to all Google One plans, even the cheapest one at $1.99 per month.

Google is discontinuing its VPN service because of a lack of active users, despite its attempts to make VPN access more widely available. Existing users will be guided towards alternative VPN services provided by third parties.
Google will still provide VPN features to US users through Google Fi and Pixel 7 or newer models can access VPN features through Pixel settings despite the discontinuation of Google One VPN.
