During testing conducted by the VRL channel Technology, unforeseen issues were identified in the smart TVs employed to investigate the issues arising with the new Max application. One noteworthy discovery was a significant alteration in the image quality, resulting in a washed-out appearance with muted colors.

When watching movies in Dolby Vision on TVs that do not have the necessary support, there can be significant color distortion issues, as seen with the LG NANO77 TV during tests with the Flash movie.

TVs without Dolby Vision technology typically have HDR10 support. However, based on the image provided, there are concerns that HDR10 TVs may not be utilizing the technology in HDR-supported films, resulting in dull colors and distorted tones.

The tests showed that the lack of HDR activation on TVs may or may not occur. For instance, in The Last of Us series, HDR10 was enabled on the NANO77, resulting in colors resembling those on TVs with Dolby Vision support.

A green screen issue is happening with Philips TVs when trying to display content from the new Max app, and some users have reported experiencing the same problem without a clear explanation for its cause.
