I conduct a weekly survey at the Net Workshop, asking about people’s purchasing behavior. Last week, I inquired about the significance of brand when purchasing a new mobile phone. Does brand influence your decision to buy a new phone, or is it not a major factor?
The research took place from March 11 to 17 and found that for the majority of consumers, the brand plays a crucial role in selecting a new cellphone. The survey involved 2,889 participants and aimed to gauge the extent to which brand impacts the choice of purchasing a new device.
How much does the brand affect your choice when buying a new cellphone?
Always opt for brands that I am familiar with and have confidence in.
Almost half of the participants (47.74%) emphasized the significance of selecting a reputable and recognizable brand, indicating the crucial role of brand reputation in smartphone selection.
I value it, but I’m willing to experiment with different brands.
One-third of the individuals viewed the brand as significant but were open to trying out different brands, as long as they perceived value and quality in the products.
Technical specifications are my primary focus rather than minor details.
The study also found that 16.15% of participants prioritize the technical features of mobile phones over brand names, considering the brand less important.
The brand has no impact on my decision-making.
Only a small percentage of participants, 2.64%, viewed the brand as entirely insignificant when making their purchasing decision, showing that the brand’s reputation had little impact on their choice of their next mobile phone.
The survey was carried out using various online platforms such as YouTube, the Net Telegram Workshop channel, and the website. It is important to note that the website caters to a tech-savvy audience with a good understanding of different brands.
